The passing of Maureen Sweeney
Maureen Sweeeny who was resident at Blacksod lighthouse with her husband Ted from the 1940s until the 1970s passed away on December 17th 2023. Maureen was best known for her famous weather report of June 1944 that would see the D-day landing postponed by 24 hours.For this achievement, in 2021, the US House of Representatives honored
