Blacksod lighthouse is managed by Comharchumann Forbartha Ionad Deirbhile, a social enterprise based in Eachléim.  Comharchumann Forbartha Ionad Deirbhile (CFID) have been at the centre of developing opportunities for the Gaeltacht region of Eachléim, An Gheata Mór Theas & Fód Dubh on the Mullet Peninsula since 1995.  CFID actively enhances the use of the Irish language within the region by providing education and tourism initiatives through our native tongue.
